I transitioned to being a dog walker after years of working with horses.
Fascinated by animal behaviour, I am constantly studying and upgrading my skills.
I launched "I Walk Your Dog" about 8 years ago.
I made it my goal to ensure that dogs were getting the robust, safe, walks they deserve.
Dogs don't just need to pee and poo on a walk.
They need socialisation, mental stimulation and exercise in their lives.
Above all, dogs need to be cared for by people who understand dog behaviour
and are able to navigate the many challenges that come with being a dog in a large city.
We even offer an online course and in person sessions to help people navigate through life with their dog.
I engage with your dog and care for him during the entire course of the walk.
Dogs are only grouped together if they get along so Fido will be happy and stress-free.
I do not engage in any rough or aggressive corrections on any dog in my care.
I am insured and licensed with the City of Toronto.
Why off leash?
Open spaces can be a great chance for dogs to socialise, play, and let off steam, while being properly supervised.
This is the key. Dogs need to be watched, encouraged, rewarded, corrected, and championed.
We avoid the standard, crowded dog parks* .
Within the outdoor, off leash areas that we go, we will leave for a different area
if other dogs or "packs" get too close.
Dogs stay in their group or "pack" for the most part .
Above all, we want the dogs to enjoy themselves
and come home happy and well exercised.
We offer a variety of walks - parks, beach, neighbourhood, nature trails - it depends on the dogs!
